Hosted by the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) for the Information Technology Solutions Management for Human Services (ISM) affinity group, the ISM Annual Conference is the largest premier health and human services technology event. This year’s conference will be held from September 22-25, 2019 in Milwaukee at the Wisconsin Center. PCG looks forward to engaging with state, local, and federal leaders in discussions focused on cutting-edge IT technology solutions in the health and human services ecosystem.

Kick off ISM 2019 with us at the ISM Golf Outing on Sunday, September 22 at the Silver Spring Golf Club in Menomonee Falls.
Speakers: Marci Roth (APHSA), Irene Luettgen (State of New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department), Sharad Rao (Tetrus Corp), Heather Spencer (Ohio Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children), Sara Lovorn (Kentucky State Department)
About the session: Placing children across state borders has been a paper-intensive process, often taking months, and causing frustration for families and state systems, including the courts – lengthy delays in placement is not in the best interest of the children or families. In this session, we will discuss how agencies can benefit from the National Electronic Interstate Compact Enterprise (NEICE), a technological solution designed using National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) standards. NEICE, implemented in more than 30 states, reduces bureaucratic barriers to safe, permanent placements across state lines, shortens timelines to permanency, and has cost benefits.
About the session: Every project starts with the goal to satisfy a need. As obvious as it sounds, if you aren't able to express what you need, your odds of actually getting it are slim. This interactive workshop features three simultaneous mini-sessions hosted by industry experts to explore issues which hinder states and vendors alike during the RFP process. Attendees will 'speed date' through each 20-minute mini-session, including:
Attendees from the public and private sector are welcome. Attendance is limited to the first 100 participants.
